Leasing Questions

  • Do I need an appointment? Do you take walk-ins?
    We prefer appointments be made before touring our community, but we do offer walk-in tours. Please be aware that walk-ins may be asked to schedule an appointment to come back if arriving during an already booked timeframe. To avoid this, please feel free to schedule your appointment online here
  • Why do your prices have ranges?
    Our prices vary based on what floor the apartment is on, what type of view the apartment has, and how the apartment has been updated. We use all three of these factors in determing the monthly rent of our apartment homes. 
  • What is the application fee and is it refundable?
    Application fees are $50 per person 18 and older occupying the apartment. You may pay these online by credit card. All application fees are nonrefundable.
  • How do I apply?
    You can apply online by finding the "Apply Now" button on the right-hand side of the main menu on our property website, or click HERE to apply now.
  • Which utilities do I pay?
    While your heat and gas are included in the rent, there is a $35 monthly fee for water/sewer/trash that is paid with rent. You will also be responsible for transferring electric into your name.
  • Do you have cable/Internet services?
    We partner with Xfinity for our community cable and Internet offerings. Please inquire with our office regarding any other cable/Internet providers.
  • What is the security deposit?
    Security deposits will vary depending on qualifying criteria. Our security deposit ranges from $500 to 1.5x your monthly rent.
  • What kind of pets do you allow? How many pets may I have?
    At Lakecrest Apartments, we welcome up to 2 pets per apartment, cats, dogs, or large birds. Each pet living in the apartment will then require a one-time, nonrefundable $200 pet fee. Monthly pet rent is $30 per pet per month. Breed restrictions apply. Read more about our pet policy HERE.

Resident Questions

  • When is my rent payment due?
    Rent is always due between the 1st and the 5th of each month.
  • What day of the month am I liable for a late charge?
    A $50 late fee will be applied to each account that has not paid rent before the 6th of each month.
  • How can I pay my rent?
    You can pay rent by setting up your online account on our property website here. This allows you to use a bank account or credit card to make payments. You may also visit the office for a pay lease card, which allows you to pay your rent with cash at either Walmart or Harding's.
  • If I get a job transfer, can I break the lease?
    Yes, if the lease buy-out fee has been paid. A 60-day notice is required before vacating your apartment and the lease buy-out fee is two month's rent. This applies for any reason other than active-duty military orders.
  • How can I refer a friend?
    If you love Lakecrest Apartments and want to refer a friend, please let our office know! We offer resident referral programs throughout the year and would love for your friends and family to join our community. 
  • If something needs to be repaired in my apartment, how do I report it?
    You may call the office, send an e-mail, or leave a message on the answering machine. You may also submit work orders online if you are enrolled in our online services.
  • There is a person who might be staying with me for a while, is that permitted by the lease?
    Yes, if someone is temporarily staying with you, please let the office know so we can accommodate for parking. We define that is as 3 consecutive days in a row. If someone is permanently moving in, they will need to fill out an application to be added to your lease agreement.
  • I will be moving out. What do I need to do?
    We require a 60-day written notice, which you are responsible through, prior to move-out. This is required regardless if the lease is ending or you are breaking your lease early. If you need to move-out at the end of your lease term, please remember to come in 60 days prior to the lease expiring to provide your written notice.
  • Can I grill on property?
    Yes, you may grill using the charcoal grills provided in the common areas around the Lakecrest Apartments community. There are, however, no grills permitted inside your apartment home or on the balconies. There is no grilling permitted on the porches of deluxe apartment homes or townhomes.
  • I’m locked out of my apartment. What do I do?
    If you are locked out during business hours, you can come to the office to use the spare key set assigned to your apartment. You will be required to leave your ID or a personal item of value (such as a phone) with the office staff until you return with the spare key set. If you are locked out after hours you will need to call a locksmith.
  • I’ve lost my apartment and/or mailbox keys. What do I do?
    If you have lost your keys, you may have new keys made at our office during business hours. Fees apply.
